Grove presided over the inauguration ceremony! Women’s Competition “Event – Landmark Days Celebrating the Rise of Golf Women, Representatives and Future.
The exclusive party at Hertfordshire venue on July 22 welcomes influential women from golf, lifestyle and sport, reaffirming Grove’s position as a leading supporter of women’s growth, empowerment and popularity in the game.
Former Olympic heptathlon champion Denise Lewis and fellow Olympian Goldie Sayers have joined numerous female content creators, along with actress and host Denise Van Outen. Having spent the day of golf in Grove, although more important in collaborating and articulating the women’s game, the purpose was to allow attendees to help expand the influence of golf on new audiences and highlight the importance of the community in sports.
Denise Van Outen said: “It was an incredible day in The Grove, not only enjoying the game, but surrounded by so many inspiring women who are moving forward into golf. Grove created an environment in which women golf continues to improve, and events like this can be so important to show what is inclusive and ambitious might be.”
For the woods, this day is another example of the resort’s dedication to the women’s competition. As a proud signatory to the Golf Charter R&A women, the program revolves around golf around the world to develop a more inclusive culture, and the Hertfordshire-based venue continues to demonstrate its long-term commitment to golf equality and inclusion.
Grove also advocated for elite women’s competitions over the years, with former U.S. Open champion Justin Rose and his wife Kate Rose hosting the Women’s Rose Series finale designed to provide female golfers with the opportunity to showcase their world-class talents.
Grove has a strong, visible workforce for women, taking the example of empowerment and inclusive culture.
