Indian Wells: Jannik Sinner beats Alexander Zverev to reach first Indian Wells final

World number two Jannik Sinner produced a masterclass to beat Alexander Zverev 6-2 6-4 to reach his first final in Indian Wells.
The 24-year-old, who has won 21 of his 24 titles on hard courts, looked in superb form as he triumphed in one hour and 23 minutes.
The Italian is aiming to become the third man after Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic to win all six ATP Masters 1000 hard-court titles.
Sinner will face world number one Carlos Alcaraz or Daniil Medvedev in Sunday’s final.
“It was a great performance – very solid in the backcourt. I was trying to make shots and that felt like one of the keys,” he said.
“His serve is very strong, so I tried to mix it up. From my side, my serve was very precise and it was a solid performance.
“I think the game will be more intense, but when both sides are serving well, it’s difficult to get into a rhythm with short points.”
