Sir Kenny Dalglish stole the headlines after a new headline during the game, so it’s no surprise that his management career has several world-class stars who do the same. As the legendary shooter himself, he seems right to work with the likes of Luis Suarez and Alan Shearer in the field of technology – even winning the Premier League title at the latter in Blackburn.
Steven Gerrard can say the same. The former Liverpool midfielder would have glimpsed Dalglish’s incredible Anfield legacy among a little boy, and if you tell the same little boy he would one day meet the Scots’ Reds captain, it would sound more like a fantasy world. However, in fact, the link between Gerrard and Dalglish did happen, and even had a trophy.
Gerrard is not the only Liverpool idol to appear during Dalglish’s second reign. In fact, King Kenny sent Suarez to Anfield in 2011.
After losing Fernando Torres, the Reds responded quickly to £22m on the deadline to welcome Suarez. Soon, Dalglish’s photo was next to South America and the new arrival of Andy Carroll. Of course, what makes this photo even more iconic is that Carol spent £15m from Liverpool.

To his credit, Leiva remains an Anfield cult hero as he served Liverpool for years during the most depressing period in the Premier League.
Ultimately, the injury prevented him from truly realizing his potential at the club, but there is a good reason why the midfielder has maintained his position in Merseyside for 10 years and remains a popular figure to this day.
