Golf Business News – Titleist Creates New Cooperation Manager Role

Titleist announced the appointment of Matthew Allanson as a new position as Partner Manager, which aims to strengthen and expand the brand’s retail relationship in the UK.

This strategic addition emphasizes Titleist’s commitment to PGA professionals and retail partners, recognizing their important role in the brand’s ongoing success.

Allanson has been working at Titleist since 2020, most recently as Regional Sales Manager for the South Central Region. In this new role, Allenson will be responsible for building long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with retail and trading partners.

“Our relationship with PGA professionals remains at the heart of our fundamentals,” Allenson said. “We will not be able to celebrate our leadership in the market with the endless contributions our trading partners have made to the titleist brand. The opportunity to help shape a future rooted in mutual respect and shared goals, ensuring that our partners feel valuable and appreciated is my ideal job description.”

Allanson has built his career in both sides of the industry, bringing extensive experience to the position. Allanson is a PGA professional trained by Sand Martins Golf Club in Berkshire, and has worked for five years at the European Tourism Performance Academy at Al Badia Golf Club and Jumeirah Golf Estates. Later, he served as chief professional at Sand Martins before joining Titleist.

“Working directly with golfers for over 17 years, I understand the challenges and needs of PGA professionals and retailers,” Allanson said. “This experience has enabled me to play this role through empathy and insight, and I’m excited to help shape partnerships that add real value.”

The new role will also involve close collaboration with Titleist’s ambassador network and key industry stakeholders, as well as support for a wider sales team.

“The golf landscape has changed dramatically in recent years and we are constantly learning new businesses in the industry. I want to provide retailers with a platform to provide feedback on how we as a brand can support them and dedicated golfers to make themselves re-entered as PGA professionals, and I think that allows them to provide them with opportunities to give them both opportunities and part of our business to make them the future businesses and to bring their own businesses to progress.
