Andrew Novak is already having the best season of his career in 2025 — and he’s not done yet.
The 30-year-old won his first Tour title with teammate Ben Griffin at the Zurich Classic, in addition to a total of five top-10 finishes – one of which was a runner-up finish. Novak has earned more than $7.6 million in winnings and is easily in the top 50 in the FedExCup standings. The pressure has eased this week as far as job security is concerned, but now, with a one-shot lead heading into the weekend, he has a chance to claim the first individual victory of his career.
“I had my baby two weeks ago and I just walked out of the house and I’m happy to be here while other people are fighting for their jobs,” Novak said after Friday’s game. “That’s a huge advantage for me this week. I’ve got a little less riding time. I definitely want to win. It’s a local championship, so I have extra motivation to do well here. But some people have the time of their lives this week.”
