Liverpool has been very active in the transfer market in recent weeks, during which time, three major deals have been completed: Jeremiah Frimpong and Florian Wirtz have been signed from Bayer Leverkusen, while Milos Kerkez joined from AFC Bournemouth earlier this week.
Wirtz’s deal was the most expensive, spending more than £100 million to bring him to Anfield. The signing brought a lot of joy to Liverpool supporters, although some concerns arise about the pressure the 22-year-old may have been under.

Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp responded to the same concerns to some extent, who signed Wirtz in an interview with Welt.
“No doubt it’s a crazy amount of money, and a Liverpool player realizes whether everything goes well in two or three games. We all agree that we’re talking about a great player here. I know I’ve said that if we pay 100 million euros for a player, but the world is changing, but this market is changing. That’s the market.
“He is a great player who can provide any club with some great abilities. Whether he will make Liverpool better remains to be seen.”
Klopp has been working with the Red Bull football team since returning to the game in January, but although he no longer has connections with Liverpool, he will definitely be keenly watching their progress. And the existence of his German compatriot Wirtz will surely increase his interest. For now, the former Leverkusen man’s advance in Merseyside remains to be seen, where he will be one of the references in the Arne Slot roster.
