Anaheim Ducks Milestone for the upcoming 2025-26 season – Hockey Writer – Anaheim Ducks

As we approach the start of the 2025-26 NHL season, Anaheim Ducks fans are happy to see their team perform. Will they finally have a record of winning? Who will become the MVP team? Regardless of the regular season results, a handful of ducks will reach famous milestones in the upcoming season.

Game milestones

If they stay healthy and continue to find their own game in the roster, many players will reach in-game milestones. Young players Cutter Gauthier, Drew Helleson and Olen Zellweger may reach the century in playing the game. Other youngsters, but experienced players, like Leo Carlsson, Jackson Lacombe and Pavel Mintyukov, will soon play 200 games in their careers. Forwards Jansen Harkins, Ross Johnston and newcomer Ryan Poehling are also expected to play in 300 games.

The more veterans approach the game’s milestone. Frank Vatrano is playing 700 professional games, with Ryan Strome, Radko Gudas and Jacob Trouba playing the 900th game of their careers. However, Trouba has the furthest distance of 900. The defender is 75 games behind the score, so he needs to play almost the entire season to achieve this milestone.

Unfortunately, due to injuries, Trouba has not played the entire season in the league since 2022-23. However, if he stays healthy, he will not be able to achieve 900 games. The oldest player on the team, Alex Killorn, 34, is second only to his 1,000th NHL game for 50 games. He has a long history in the league – 13 seasons – and has been a consistent performance over the years. Interestingly, how the Ducks and Tampa Bay Lightning (his former team) commemorated this extraordinary milestone.

Milestones and achievements

In the 2025-26 season, there are many ducks achieving milestones in scoring, assists or goals on track. For example, Leo Carlsson, Ryan Poehling and Jackson Lacombe all have the potential to register 100 career points this season. Carlsson is 26 points short and only 5 points, while Lacombe is 40 years old. He scored 43 points last season and has shown continuous improvement throughout his career – 40 points is a simple feat for the defense. Poehling also scored only 50 goals in his career.

It’s no surprise that prolific organizer Troy Terry could hit 200 assists and 300 points this season. Radko Gudas will also score 200 points through two more times. Terry’s frequent lap captains Ryan Strome and Frank Vatrano can score 500 and 200 goals, respectively, as Strome is 20 points over the Milestone, while Vatrano’s goal is 19 goals. Chris Kreider is a newcomer (but not the league) to the Ducks, just 18 points from No. 600. Finally, new goalkeeper Petr Mrazek can see his 200th career victory – from which he has 20 wins.

It’s certainly an exciting season in Anaheim, regardless of the outcome of each game and the team’s success. There is a lot of buzz around new head coach Joel Quenneville, many new faces in the roster, and general manager Pat Verbeek’s commitment to the winning record this season. While milestones are not the ultimate goal of a good player, they do contribute to the overall success of the team, the morale of the players and the fan interaction. It’s nice to see the Duck commemorate each milestone to drive this engagement and encourage the team celebrations to celebrate the event so much that it’s used to having more negative reactions from the fan base. 2025-26 Probably and should be, for the Anaheim Ducks, it’s very bright.
