Real Madrid is reportedly ready to make Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton the top target after missing out on Martin Zubimendi to Arsenal.

Xabi Alonso’s team can really use deep midfielders to decide the pace of the game, and Arsenal’s new boy Zubimendi looks like he would have been the ideal choice.

Nevertheless, the Spanish International opted to join the Gunners, just as it now claims that Walton merchandise is becoming a replacement for Real Madrid.

However, the report notes that the Palace will not allow Walton to pay less than 80 million euros, and England International is also Manchester United’s main goal.

As claimed Wharton also said on Liverpool’s radar, he is considered a dream signature in particular.

According to AS, the Red Devils cannot reach a deal for Brighton’s Carlos Baleba this summer, so the Wharton Devils appear to be their next priority.

Real Madrid will be hard to refuse, though, as most footballers in the world think it is the biggest move of their careers.

Will Walton leave Crystal Palace this summer?

But, since the Hawks just agreed to a deal to sell Eberechi Eze to Arsenal, it might be hard to imagine Wharton leaving the palace, just like sports and everyone else.

Palace also has Marc Guehi in the final year of the contract, so it can be a tough time for the club.

Oliver Glasner just won the FA Cup and Community Shield and does seem to have built something very promising in Selhurst Park, but if too many key players leave quickly, everything could quickly collapse.

The Wharton store is still young, so it might be waiting for another year or two before making a big move, but it will be interesting to see if Real Madrid or United Test House’s determination will be interesting and try to get the job done earlier.
