The Dallas Star extends forward Matt Duchene
Dallas Stars: The stars have signed Matt Duchene as a four-year contract worth $18 million and a salary cap of $4.5 million.
“We are excited to bring Matt back to our organization,” Neal said. “As the leading scorer for our team last season, he helped solidify our forward team while also providing valuable leadership on the ice and in the community. The fit with Matt and our team was seamless from the start and we hope to continue pursuing our shared goal of bringing the championship to Dallas.”
Hockey Pedia: Duchene will have an unmoving clause in the first two years and approve a team’s trade list in the last two years.
2025-26: Signing bonus of $3 million and $3 million
2026-27: Signing bonus of $1.8 million and $3 million
2027-28: US$3.6 million

Ottawa Senator extends forward Fabian Zetterlund
Hockey Pedia: Ottawa Senator signs RFA forward Fabian Zetterlund to a three-year contract with a salary cap of $4.275 million.
2025-26: US$3.8 million
2026-27: US$4.3 million
2027-28: US$4.725 million
The contract purchased a year without restrictions on free agency without trade protection.
