Golf Business News – Women’s Golf Award Commitment to Golf Respect

Golf England is pleased to confirm that the women of the Golf Award have become the latest organization to sign the golf commitment to respect.
Following the Golf Media Golf Club, the Association of Golf Club Managers and the International Women and Sports Working Group, the women in the “Golf Awards” have presented their commitment to ensure that everyone is treated fairly in a safe environment and feel a sense of belonging in a golf game.
The respect of golf has led all 60 counties and 1,735 affiliated golf clubs to sign up for the England golf affiliation as the governing bodies want to promote inclusion and accessibility in the game and eliminate discrimination.
Nicole Wheatley, founder of the Golf Awards Women’s Awards, said: “The women in the Golf Awards are a great example of how to connect and build a community, which is why we are happy to support this important sport.
“The more we know about people, the more we understand their needs, which in turn helps us create an environment that welcomes everyone. Golf can scare many people, which is why I encourage more organizations to support respect on the golf course and start having important conversations about what we can do to make golf better.”
Ben White, Director of Golf Communications and Data at England, added: “It’s incredible to see how many organizations support the respect of golf. It’s all over everything we do as a governing body, and we’re very proud of the commitment we provide for women like golf awards ceremonies to make our sport safer and more inclusive.”
