St Andrews Links Trust has announced the launch of a new disability golf program that will be introduced at Golf House this summer.
The Disability Coach Conference will be held at St Andrews Link Golf Academy, which is available to people with physical, sensory or learning disabilities regardless of background or ability.
Meetings held in the 8-week blocks of July-August from July-August will cost £10 per person and will provide a fun, safe and inclusive environment where participants can learn the basics of the game or develop their existing skills.
The program is part of the Scottish Golf Community Disability Centre Program, which is the success of the Foundation’s Disability Golf Tasker Conference held in March and April.
David Watt, Dean of the St Andrews Links Golf Academy, said: “We are pleased to launch the Disability Golf Program and hope that it will support golfers with living disabilities, whether they are complete beginners or seek to improve their existing experience.
“The feedback we received after the disability tasting session earlier this year is very positive, which highlights the benefits of ongoing, tailored programs at the Golf Home that will excite the golf community for people with disabilities. We are excited to start this summer and are excited to take a step further toward the Future Future for Scotland In Scotland.”
The conference will focus on all key aspects of the game and will be conducted by experienced St Andrews link Golf Academy coaches in a supportive and encouraging environment. Players will be grouped by experience level so that everyone can make the most of the course.
