Golf Business News – Solheim Cup Captain Kickstart Countdown to 2026

In the 2026 Solheim Cup celebrates its celebration Going for a year Tickets are available for the Netherlands milestone now.
European captain Anna Nordqvist and vice captain Caroline Hedwall spent the day with Captain America Angela Stanford and assistant captain Paula Creamer to bring golf and cycling together in a true Dutch style. The four golf stars swap the fairways for bike lanes, stomping with Dutch professional cyclists Fem van Empel and Visma team/Lieke Nooijen of the bike rental, as well as staff from NGF, Let, LPGA and IMG.
To commemorate the occasion, the group met at Den Bosch station, tracking thousands of fans who headed to Bernardus Golf for the same scenic loop route for the 20th edition of the Solheeim Cup, and debuted in the Netherlands.
The ride demonstrates the event’s bold commitment to sustainability. The 2026 Solheim Cup aims to set new benchmarks for environmentally friendly sports events, replacing general on-site parking with low-emission travel options, integrated ticketing and last-mile solutions, such as the bike routes you’re experiencing today. Other initiatives include renewable energy use, waste reduction, procurement of recycled materials, local catering, intelligent water operation and active natural recovery.
Sustainability of golf courses is a key focus of NGF. Among the 314 geo-certified courses around the world, there are as many as 104 internationally located in the Netherlands. Bernardus Golf is recognized as one of the most sustainable golf clubs in Europe.
Today, general tickets are also sold. From ground passes that offer general access to hospitality, including the 15th Green Tap Inn, becoming the most exciting part of the course, there are a range of options to get fans close to the action.
