Golf Business News – Royal St. George will host the AIG Women’s Open in 2027

On the eve of the 2025 AIG Women’s Open at Royal Porthcawl, R&A announced that the 2027 edition will be broadcast at Royal St George’s, with the championship game visiting the famous Kent link for the first time from July 28 to August 1.
Royal St George’s has staged 15 Opens, the most recent in 2021, but in 2027 it will see the world’s best female players take the challenge of historical venues and compete for the prestigious AIG Women’s Open Trophy.
Mark Darbon, Chief Executive of The R&A, said, “The AIG Women’s Open is a global sporting event and we are committed to giving the best players in the world the best stages on which to compete. Royal St George’s is one of the world’s great links courses and will provide a fantastic test for the players. We look forward to working with AIG to put on a wonderful championship for the fans on the south coast of England in two years’ time.”
