Golf Business News – Picciolo unveils upgraded hotels and golf courses

The golf experience at the Picciolo Etna Golf Resort and Spa in Sicily will reach new heights this summer, following numerous course improvements and the opening of a renovated hotel and spa, as part of the €18 million investment in the venue.

After a massive renovation, the resort has joined part of the Hilton brand as a portfolio of Hilton.

The resort’s 18-hole championship course has been completed with a series of upgrades including a complete renovation of all bunkers and t-shirt boxes, further enhancing the dramatic Par-72 layout, which was first opened in 1989 and designed by Luigi Rota Caremoli.

Picciolo is characterized by narrow fairways, exciting elevation changes and stunning views of the surrounding countryside, including the majestic Mount Etna, the oldest route in Sicily. Its regular tour station, it held four European women's tours between 1995 and 2011, and the seniors in Sicily opened in 2010. It complements the super golf course, and Picciolo also has a driving range, two debris and bunker areas, and a practice that places green.

The spacious clubhouse has an amazing terrace and is the perfect place to enjoy lunch at the Il Palmento restaurant.

When the golfer stepped out of the 18th green, the Picciolo experience did not stop, with 100 ensuites in the historic estate, waiting for food at the La Ghiandaia restaurant at night. The comprehensive lineup of leisure facilities includes two outdoor pools with sun loungers and posts, as well as a bar for snacks or sunset aperitifs. For indoor relaxation, the spa offers a heated swimming pool with water magnetism, sauna and steam room. Citrus fruits in Sicily are a key element that guests provide through the spa and incorporate them into treatment and massage.
Andrea and Francesco Scrofani and Francesco Scrofani and Mario Paoluzi, owners of Picciolo etna etna golf resorts and spas, commented: “Picciolo is honored to provide guests with a truly special experience and to provide first-class interest in our first-class facilities with our spectacular and highly unique golf courses. Etna. It was an exciting time for the resort and we are delighted to partner with the Hilton brand Curio Collection to bring new products to our guests.”

The price of B&B at Picciolo Etna golf resort starts at €200 per night, which is two people living in a royal family. For more information, visit Stories.hilton.com.
