Golf Business News – Newark improves game with track and field technology

Newark Golf Club enhances its practice facilities by introducing market-leading ball tracking technology track and field athletes to the All-Grass practice series at the East Midlands venue.
The track and field range has been installed in all 15 batting areas, allowing visitors and members to experience the most realistic and valuable golf practice experience.
“There is no doubt that falling off the grass is the best way to make the most of your practice, and our range has a particularly beautiful background,” the comment said. “The realistic ball touchpoints combined with tracking software allows you to really understand your game and do all the shot counts. And if you like a little fun, we can cater to games you can play alone with a range of games, or use the free app to play with friends.”
Trackman Technology runs through an app that golfers can download on the Bay using QR codes. The ball is £10 for £10 and £50 for £6.50, and the technology is free of charge. And, to make golf available to everyone, Newark also offers club hiring for those who want to try it out.
“It’s great to see our technology used in such a unique location,” commented Steven Carmichael, vice president of sales at Trackman Range EMEA. “We are starting to see strong growth in technology in the range of grass driving, and Newark is at the beginning of the curve. Seen in a picturesque geography like Newark. Trackman will really bring the golfer experience to life and provide valuable data to help any level of Golfer improvement – even those interested in their hands-on training.”
In addition to introducing new innovations and investment in renovations in Parkland Golf Course, new owner of Newark Golf Club Stellar Asset Management has also undergone a lot of renovations to the clubhouse. All facilities will be used for free when the club holds an open day on September 20. This special event will include competitions, tasting sessions and free family events.
