“When I retired, I was always looking for something that made me focus on – for me,” Telford said. “Golf has always been that outlet. Igolf helped me track my progress, build confidence and enjoy the game at my own pace. I love that it gives me the freedom to play when and where I fit me, without stress, just pure enjoyment. For many, it’s a great way to get into golf on their own, and even provide further effort for members of the club.
“There is no more golfing,” said Claire Hodgson, head of Igolf/iPlay. “With Igolf, we are providing women with a flexible way to play – a life that suits them, helping them track progress and feel part of the game. The sport is about celebrating the freedom to play and showing how golf works for everyone.”
The sport reflects the commitment of England Golf to create a passionate, accessible and inspiring environment to allow more women and girls to enjoy golf. With over 1,800 affiliated golf clubs and facilities, England Golf aims to support and empower a thriving community of golfers to make the most of the game.
