Golf Business News – Iagto climbs the 16th NAC on the RTJ Golf Trail in Sweet Home, Alabama

More than 300 delegates from 33 countries took the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Alabama to Deep South City in Birmingham for the 16th Annual North American Golf Tourism Conference.

The event is owned and operated by IAGTO (International Association of Golf Travel Agents), of which 70% of golf travel agencies and golf travel consultants are from North America and Latin America, while the rest travel from Europe, Australia and Asia.

Dan Williams, president and CEO of the Greater Birmingham Conference and Visitors Bureau, said: “Iago and its global members welcomed Iago and its global member Dan Williams. “It has been a very fun and dynamic week and we are honored to showcase our city, golf and hospitality in the south.”

“We hope everyone enjoys their time here, just as we love receiving them, and we look forward to bringing all new friends back to Birmingham soon.”

Iagto CEO Peter Walton commented: “Birmingham is the perfect place for NAC as it is located in the heart of Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, which spans Alabama and has about 22 amazing golf courses.

“We were also able to showcase mobile devices from the south to most countries in Hansville, as well as muscle shallows in the north, and do pre- and post-visit trips by dozens of tour operators – many of whom have never visited Alabama before.

“But the city of Birmingham gave us everything we could have asked, with great restaurants and wonderful meeting places nearby. We were lucky enough to have a welcome reception in the protective tract, an impressive variety of sports venues, as well as a farewell dinner at the barber’s old-fashioned motor sports museum, which had to be one of the most spectacular cars and the most spectacular cars and car cars!’

The NAC includes a two-day meeting between buyers and suppliers of the golf tourism industry, as well as a two-wheeled golf course at Oxmoor Valley and Ross Bridge Courses on the RTJ Golf Trail, just minutes from the city center.

“For the past few years, we have been telling the story of Alabama golf, and on the previous NACS, highlighted our theme “This is Alabama.” Now, we are able to make the Iagto members truly experience what it looks, feels and sounds like… From our wonderful food and all kinds of music to our unique attractions and single pristine attractions, we are an existing attraction that can be like our unique attractions, our original attractions. Everyone.

Although Birmingham is often referred to as the “Southern Dining Table”, it also has a vibrant cultural lineage throughout the event, with live music arranged in live music. The outstanding moment was the gospel choir performance by Allen Pruitt Jr, and the worship ensemble to launch the opening address. Other features accompany nearby blues, soul, classical and rock musicians.

Walton summed up the overall experience, “That was the most fun we had while also taking part in the day-to-day work and putting Alabama, Birmingham, Alabama, onto the international market golf tourism map while enhancing its position as an unparalleled southern golf destination in the domestic market.

“RTJ Golf Trail, many other courses, and the hotel and hospitality industry in Alabama and beyond will receive NAC 2025 returns in the next 18 months.”
