Golf Business News – Hero Dubai Desert Classic Launches Global Sustainable Development Challenge

Hero Dubai Desert Classics team up with Deloitte to announce the launch Green Incubator Challengea global initiative invites participants to submit innovative sustainable solutions for the event and implement their ideas at the 2027 DP World Tour and Rolex Series.
To promote meaningful change in the sustainability of the sports and entertainment industry and accelerate sustainable innovation, Green Incubator Challenge Open to entrepreneurs, startups, students and companies around the world. Submissions can include new concepts and ready-made solutions to enhance environmental sustainability within the event sector to address the urgent challenges posed by climate change.
The Heroes Dubai Desert Classic has become the first golf event in the Middle East, earning its first GEO-certified competition status for three consecutive years in the DP World Tour Labor Series, and is now the first global golf event to launch an international challenge to CrowdSource’s sustainable activity solutions, thus enhancing its leadership in sustainable sports and entertainment. By offering this platform, HDDC enables global innovators to present their solutions on the international stage and potentially launch at future events in Dubai.
The winning team will receive professional support from the game and Deloitte will support the strategic knowledge partner of the event. Deloitte is recognized as a leader in sustainability and climate change consulting firms, working with governments, businesses and communities to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable future. Throughout the challenge, Deloitte will provide expert guidance, guidance and evaluation to ensure that ideas are not only visionary, but also feasible and scalable.

The submitted shortlist will be announced on November 18, and three finalists will be revealed on December 19. Finalists will introduce their solution to a panel of expert judges in the week of the 2026 Championship, the 37th renewal, which took place at Emilatus Golf Club from January 22 to 25.
