NBA insider reports Brandon Miller is the only 'unshakable' player on the Hornets roster

In 2024-25, the Hornets finished third in the NBA with a record of 19-63. After the 2025 draft, Charlotte ranked fourth.
Before the 2025-26 season, NBA insiders said the only “unshakable” player in the Hornets' roster was Brandon Miller. The 22-year-old played in just 27 games last season due to injury. Miller is an exciting offensive player when he is healthy. Charlotte hopes he can use it in the 2025-26 season.

In the second pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, the Hornets chose Brandon Miller from Alabama. As a rookie, Miller has 74 games in 82 games and played 68 games. He finished third in the rookie of the year. In the second year, Miller played only 27 games for the Hornets. He missed the last 45 games of the season due to a wrist injury. Miller needed surgery and his season was shortened.
Brandon Miller started all 27 games in 2024-25. Despite the small sample size, he averaged a career-high 21.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game. In addition, his 34.2 minutes are personal best for Miller. His progress took a step until he was injured. That's why NBA insider Sam Amico reported that Miller might be Charlotte's only “untouchable” player during the offseason.
You would think that an All-Star like Lamelo Ball is the one the Hornets want to keep. But, Amico said, no one is willing to pay the Hornets’ request in return. It's very likely that he will continue his career in Charlotte. The Hornets are expected to hear the fourth-ranked trade offer in the 2025 NBA Draft.
