Canadian Open: Naomi Osaka and Madison Keys reach quarterfinals

Naomi Osaka lost only one game when she entered the Canadian Open quarterfinals in Montreal.
The four-time Grand Slam champions had a 6-1 6-0 victory in just 49 minutes, beating the 35-year-old Latvian who eliminated defending champion Jessica Pegula in the last round.
Osaka, Japan, is a two-time American champion, and the Australian opens business and is seeking her first title since she returns from maternity leave in early 2024.
The 27-year-old, separated from coach Patrick Mouratoglou after less than a year, is now working with Polish Tomasz Wiktorowski, former coach of IGA Swiatek.
“I have a solid plan and happened to be doing well,” Osaka said.
American Madison Keys had to beat Czech Karolina Muchova 4-6 6-3 7-5 in two hours and 20 minutes.
