England Golf announced the appointment of Mrs. Dennis Lewis as ambassador, and the 2000 Olympic Seventh-Eleven Gold Medal has teamed up with the organization to inspire a new generation of golfers and support the launch of a breakthrough new program – “Game Changeers”.
As an ambassador, Mrs. Denise will play a leading role in helping to increase greater visibility, diversity and engagement in the game.
Game-changing sports are part of the broader strategic vision of England Golf 2025-2030 and will come together to demonstrate golf as a safe, inclusive, sustainable and inspiring sport. The program aims to challenge outdated views on the game and emphasizes its many physical, psychological and social interests.
“I’m very happy to be joining England Golf as ambassador,” said Dame Denise Lewis. “Golf has a lot to offer – from the positive impact on health to the ability to bring people together. I’m excited to help open up the sport to new audiences and share that golf is really a game for everyone.”
