Golf Business News – China Fleet's Net Zero Net Route Improved Government-Funded Solar Installations

The China Fleet Country Club in Cornwall has installed a new 600kW solar panel as Cornwall venue attempts to continue its journey to achieve net worth.
The suburb of the golf course is more than half a mile from the main site, and the cutting-edge project is delivered in partnership with renewable energy expert ZLC Energy, receiving £260,000 from the UK government through the common prosperity fund of Cornwall and Scilly Good Good Groun Enlovenss.
“This initiative builds on the success of our existing 400kW solar installation on the roof of a building, which has provided a large part of our energy needs,” said Dean Bennett, managing director of China Fleet Country Club. “These solar arrays will further reduce the club’s reliance on non-renewable energy, putting us at the forefront of sustainable business operations in the region.”
In addition to renewable energy, China Motorsports Country Club has long been committed to sustainability. The club has implemented a range of environmental measures, including energy-efficient lighting, on-site water supply and treatment plants, and has a strong focus on reducing waste and recycling.
The club’s dedication to sustainability has won numerous honors, including the prestigious Green Tourism Program (GTBS) Gold Award.
Gordon Hannah, CEO of China Fleet Trust, added: “Sustainability has always been at the heart of our values. Coupled with this 600kW solar array, and our existing 400kW system, we are showing how businesses can embrace renewable energy and sustainability practices to have a lasting positive impact on the environment.
“Solar arrays will not only support our operational energy needs, but will also inspire our members, visitors and the wider community to adopt green energy solutions and participate in shaping a more sustainable future.”
