Golf Business News – Cabot Heights opens old little trivia preview game

Old elementary school courses in Cabot Highlands, Scotland have been opened for preview competitions, and Tom Doak designed courses join the original Castle Stuart course, creating a 36-hole operation at the Inverness-based club, which was purchased by Cabot Company in 2022.
The preview round for the course begins on August 1 and is available for walking race experience until September 30, with a fee of £190 reduced, after which the course will be closed in winter and then officially open next spring.
The old little trivia is situated next to the historic old chapel and has a stunning view of the 400-year-old Stewart Castle in 13 of its 18 holes. The championship layout is routed to embrace the natural drama of the land and to cross the fairway in the vicinity of the clubhouse. Other keyholes include 17-17-stroke, 10-stroke dramatic coastline vision, and a return to Moray Firth on the 14th.
“We are excited to share the first look of this old tip,” said Ben Cowan-Dewar, CEO and co-founder of Cabot. “From the beginning, our vision was to commemorate the land and its long history while developing a memorable golf experience that added to the reputation of Stewart Castle. Old Petty is a course that will make, challenge and inspire, loyal to the spirit of the Highlands.”
In addition to the open opening of the new curriculum, Cabot Heights has launched its own tartan to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the historic castle Stuart, a historic old elementary school course.
The Capoter Heights Tartan was created in collaboration with renowned Highland designer Clare Campbell, and the design was inspired by the natural tones of the Scottish Highlands and the legacy of the Stewart Castle itself. The fabric tells the story of art and local pride at the last remaining operational tartan mill in the Highlands.
“At Cabot, the brand has always been about purposeful storytelling, Chief Marketing Officer Jules Cowan-Dewar, Cabot. It’s more than just a design – it’s a symbol of place, history and identity, it connects our guests to the Highlands in a very real way.”
The limited edition Capote Heights Tartan series is now available for purchase exclusively at the Capote Heights Golf Store. The 400th Anniversary Logo Collection is also available for purchase in-store and online.
