There's almost everything in this game – including mid-game goalkeeper swaps, which put former Golden Knight Marc-André Fleury in a crease in the wild. With Vegas now up 3-2, they have a 78.8% historical chance to win the series and hope to finish the job in St. Paul on Thursday night. This is a review.
Game review
From the beginning, the Golden Knights became very hot and looked sharp. The power play started early in the wild, but Jack Eichel spotted a short tune from William Karlsson, who put it home to give Vegas a 1-0 lead.
Thirteen seconds later, Mats Zuccarello got a good pass against others besides Kirill Kaprizov, even a score, and played in the first phase. Eichel was back soon after, which helped Mark Stone's first playoff goal to score 2-1.
Another interesting tidbit is that the Golden Knights entered the playoffs with one of the best power games in the league, but tonight, they failed to take advantage of Man Advantage to take advantage of their chances with a 0/3.
Matt Boldy later tied up the game in the third stage, slipped past Alex Pietrangelo on the right, roofed a pass by Adin Hill and scored 2-2.
As mentioned earlier, Fleury will enter the game for Filip Gustavsson, who is said to be sick and taken away. Ryan Hartman will probably score in the field and give them a 3-2 lead.
The officials then examined the motion but found no evidence. Bruce Cassidy challenged offside, which was offside and the goal was overturned.
The game then entered overtime, with Howden winning the game for the Golden Knights, which gave them a 3-2 series. Game 6 will be held at the Xcel Energy Center on Thursday.
