Giants sign minor league deal with Diego Cartaya

Giants sign the catcher Diego Cartaya According to a report by Daniel Alvarez-Montes of El Extrabase, a minor league contract was signed.
Cartaya, 23, reached the top 20 in 2023 in the 2023 competition. As he struggles in the upper class of minors, Kataya’s value begins to decline. He played a dull .189/.278/.379 in 93 games at Double-A level, while the repetition in 2024 improved him, but he had an anemia .208/.293/.350 after appearing in 208 sectors, and was previously promoted to Triple-a. In most offensive settings, this is a rough slash, especially the Pacific Coast Alliance.
The Dodgers initially left him in the 40-man squad after Cartaya’s tough 2024 season, but assigned his mission in early January. Less than a week later, he was traded to the twins and found himself out of 40 people in late April. Cartaya’s three numbers will only get worse after arriving at St. Paul, as he cut only 0.085/.217/.136 in 20 games for the twins’ branch. He made his last appearance in a Minnesota organization in late June and was released last week.
It all brings to the Giants, who will provide depth for the Giants for the time being. Jingalov Patrick Bailey Supporting Andrew Knizner Things stand, Kataya will now join many non-convoy catchers on the upper level of the San Francisco secondary alliance system, which is the potential depth of the tandem. Max Stacey,,,,, Sam Hoff,,,,, Logan Porter and Austin Barnes They are already in the organization. Each of the other works has extensive league experience and may be more likely to join the MLB club in case of a situation injury.
For Cartaya, who won’t reach 24 until September 24, the goal may be as simple as hoping to get his career back on track. The catcher is still young enough to have room for continued development, especially considering that it usually takes longer to develop than players in other positions. Due to his impressive upside, Kataya is considered one of the best prospects for the game, and the Giants will now try to unlock the upside that the Dodgers and the Twins have made after doing so.
