Hero World Challenge 2025 Wallet: Payment Information, Winner Shares

Sepp Straka was in a good mood as he left Albany Golf Course at the Hero World Challenge on Saturday.

Straka held a one-stroke lead over 54 holes of the tournament hosted annually by Tiger Woods, beating out players including world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler. He’s also booked in from his couch to watch the biggest football game of the year: the 2025 SEC Championship Game between Straka’s Georgia Bulldogs and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

“I mean, any other team we play, I think the Dawgs are going to win,” Straka said Saturday. “But in the last nine games, I think we beat Alabama, so I don’t know. It’s going to be a close game and hopefully we can win.”

Well, if Saturday afternoon was any indication, Straka would be arriving and even happier by Sunday morning. That’s because shortly after Straka’s round ended, his Georgia Bulldogs pulled off an impressive win in the SEC Championship Game, completing a losing season and solidifying themselves as the top seed in the College Football Playoff.

Now, on Sunday morning, Straka has a chance to complete a dream weekend with a win at the Hero World Challenge where he will share the final pairing with Scotty Scheffler.

The $1 million winner’s check from a win at Hero isn’t Straka’s biggest paycheck for the 2025 season — his $3.6 million winner’s check at the Truist Championship in May already covered those bases — but it will be a huge holiday bonus to end the season.
