Frilford Heath Golf Club

Frilford Heath Golf Club proudly celebrates another important and victorious day in its history after successfully ascending to the open regional qualification.

The June 23 event not only highlighted the club’s excellence in world-class golf course speeches and event delivery, but also saw two local members qualify for the next phase of Royal Prothush 153 Open.

Frilford Heath’s own PGA professional Robert Harrhy (more than)On the club’s famous red course, the win was consistently named one of the best Heathland golf experiences in the UK with a qualifying match of 132 players.

Harry Richardson (As shown below)also produced a joint runner-up 69 round to safely improve final qualifications.

Speaking after his victory, Robert, who has been a member of Frilford Heath since he was ten years old, playing golf with European travel star and friend Eddie Pepperell, said: “I always thought it was so proud to represent this club, it was a big part of my golf life and I now have only 36 holes in 36 holes that make him happy.

“I’ve been in this club for a long time and now an employee, and I can see the events of this position from a competitor and behind the scenes and what makes it so successful.”

Nine of Freford

Nine members of the Freford Heath Golf Club participated in the open regional qualifications. Except for Robert and Harry, the others who hung on the Freford Heath flag were Alex Stabs, Luke Perkins, Hamishi Hall, Harry Thomas, Oly Hawkins, Kelan Mansbridge and Charlie Haynes.

Russell Stebbings, managing director of Frilford Heath Golf Club, commented: “It’s a really special day for Frilford Heath. Not only is it going to host such an important R&A event, but it’s a success for the entire club to see two of our members succeed at the highest level. We hope Rob and Harry will perform best in the final qualifying round.”

Frilford Heath offers members and day visitors privileged access to three tournament quality courses within a 450 acres of natural beauty terrain, where golf has been played for over a century. This is a contemporary club for friends and family that welcomes groups, events and discerning golf travelers to one of England’s favorite golf destinations.

The final qualifying match will be held at four venues in the UK on Tuesday, July 1.

Both Robert and Harry chose Somerset’s Burnham and Burnham & Berrow Golf Club as their preferred qualifying options, and Justin Rose also qualified at last year’s Royal Troon Open, where he ended up finishing second.
