NHL Rumors: Brown Bear, Maple Leaf, Flame and Oiler

Michael Dipietro on the exemption may be interested in Toronto Maple Leafs and Calgary Flames

James Murphy of RG Media: The Boston Bruins put goalkeeper Michael Dipietro on a waiver yesterday and sources would be surprised if he didn’t claim it.

“I would be surprised if he could finish the game. I talked to the manager and it felt like, teams that still need backups wanted to get him off the waiver because they thought he could actually be 1B, not just backups.”

The source added that Toronto Maple Leaf and Calgary Flame showed some interest in the past. The Carolina Hurricane could be another team (they claimed to have exempted Brandon Bussi after writing the article). Leafs puts James Reimer on PTO, and there is uncertainty about Joseph Woll’s identity.

Dipietro signed a two-year contract with a cap of $812,500.

NHL Rumor: Lane Hutson and Kyle Connor Update

Potential areas of demand for the Edmonton Oilers and some options

Allan Mitchell of the Athlete: The areas that the Edmonton Oilers who enter this season may focus on are goalkeepers, right wing and third-tier centers.

The reason for the cap is that the Oilers lose winger Connor Brown and they don’t have many options for two-way wingers. If money and tenure are not a problem, Vancouver Canucks Nils Hoglander would be a good choice (Hoglander lasted for 8-10 weeks in the injury). They may look for rent options during the trade deadline.

3C’s Adam Henrique struggles this preseason. He had time to turn it around. The Oil Man has nothing to do with Evgeny Kuznetsov.

The oilers need to move their salaries out of almost any move, but it is not easy for nine players with NMC or NTC. The oilers don’t have much choice to send Ganak to Hogland ($3 million). Philip Tomasino, the Pittsburgh Penguin, might be a good choice, but the Oilers may think his skills aren’t up to their needs.

Defensive Alec Regula’s preseason could offer right-handed emberson or Troy Stecher.

NHL Rumors: New Jersey Devils, Edmonton Oilers and Colorado Avalanche

If the oilers want to upgrade the network, any deal could involve Stuart Skinner, who enjoys a good contract and provides a lot of playoff experience for his age.
