Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic are all on the roster for the first ATP Masters 1000 event of the season at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells in March.
The hard-court event will take place from March 4 to 15 and will feature all players currently in the top 10 of the PIF ATP rankings. Alcaraz will return to Indian Wells after completing a career Grand Slam at the Australian Open.
The 22-year-old Spaniard has fond memories of lifting the trophy in the California desert in 2023 and 2024. The world No. 1 holds a 20-2 tournament record, according to the Infosys ATP Win-Loss Index.
Sinner has won five other hard-court Masters 1000 events but never Indian Wells. The Italian lost to Djokovic in the Australian Open semifinals and reached the semifinals in 2023 and 2024.
Djokovic reached the final in Melbourne in early February and tied the record for five Indian Wells titles. The Serbian is a five-time champion (tied with Roger Federer), with his last success coming in 2016. In the same year, the 38-year-old won the title in Miami, completing the Sunshine Double for the fourth time (consecutive wins in Indian Wells and Miami).

Former champions Taylor Fritz, Jack Draper and Cameron Norrie will also compete. Local favorite Fritz won the title in 2022, while British southpaw Draper beat Holger Rune in last season’s championship match to claim his first ATP Masters 1000 title. Norrie is victorious in 2021.
Former Next Generation ATP Finals champions Learner Tien and Joao Fonseca will both feature, with Ben Shelton joining Fritz to help lead home hopes. Austrian Filip Misolic is the last player on the initial list of players to participate directly.
