Casper Ruud will not participate in next week’s Nexo Dallas Open due to the birth of his daughter last week. The Norwegian, who welcomed his first child with wife Maria, shared the news on social media on Thursday.

“I’m sorry to tell you that I will sadly miss the Dallas Open next week. After playing in the finals last year, I’m certainly looking forward to coming back, especially because I loved the time I spent last year with this incredible team who put the event together so well,” he shared on Instagram Stories.

“However, with the birth of our daughter last weekend, I will be spending an extra week back home in Norway enjoying this special time together. I’m already looking forward to returning to Dallas next year and wish everyone a great week next week at this year’s tournament.”

The 27-year-old made his tournament debut in Dallas last year but lost to Denis Shapovalov in the championship match. He started his 2026 season in the Fed Cup and reached the round of 16 at the Australian Open, where he lost to Ben Shelton.

According to the Infosys ATP Win-Loss Index, Rudd has a 4-3 record this year and is ranked 12th in the PIF ATP Rankings.
