Five essential FPL players to transfer to GW3

This is Gameweek three-pointer in the Premier League. These five players stand out and are the highest transfer target. Writing FPL expert Blake Hurst. Each offers a mix of forms, a fixture and potential upward space that can move your squad forward.

Whether you’re chasing points, looking for budget-friendly options or aiming to take advantage of a favorable game, this list covers all the basics.

Put these names on your radar to help make smart moves and stay ahead of the fantasy Premier League game this week.

Pedro Porro (5.5m)

Tottenham Hotspurs started the season with unexpected defensive controls and recorded clean sheets in two fixtures for each of their openings. Thomas Frank obviously brought structure and balance, and the Spurs may still be underrated, and attention tends to be elsewhere. Their schedule is good, and their investment time is good until Gameweek 10 is around 10 o’clock. Porro is an outstanding draft pick and my favorite defender, with a strong offensive upside to the potential to clean the sheets. For those who manage their budgets carefully, Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven are stable, low-cost options. Considering the current form, the double increase in defensiveness is even reasonable, it is recommended to use it.

Nico Williams (5m)

Williams, who is 0.5m cheaper than Murillo and Nikola Milenković, made a wise move to enter Nottingham Forest defense this week. The Welsh defender nailed the starting point and added some offensive intent to the side, not only providing clean sheet potential. The forest’s fixtures were also friendly, with West Ham, Burnley and Sunderland all encountering three of the next four Gameweeks. This kind of run provides a valuable short-term window for managers to improve defense without committing to it. If you are looking for a budget-friendly cover to free up funds elsewhere, Williams may be an outstanding choice.

Mohamed Kudus (66m)

Tottenham’s fixtures look too good to ignore, and buying an attack in this price range is like an opportunity worth catching. Kudus has good value at 6.6m, has cut in with two assists and has an XGI of 0.39 every 90 minutes. For managers willing to spend a little extra, Brennan Johnson at 71m is another attractive option. He started the season with two goals and stronger with a lower score of 0.57 XGI, although his time is not very safe. This is a trade-off between Johnson’s reliability and higher short-term explosion potential – both are still reliable.

Bruno Fernandez (9m)

Fernandes is still in that tricky bracket, he isn’t a total purchase, but certainly hasn’t sold yet. If he stays cool from the scene last week, he will walk away with a 12-13 mark after already receiving a return on defensive contributions. Although his status has not been fully clicked, basic FPL participation remains, and his performance is close to another big score. Next, Burnley Up, he could even be the Captain of the Difference. Give him this week and call him if he can ship him out.

Morgan Rogers (7m)

Like Fernandes, both Rogers and Ollie Watkins are now in the “Hold, Do not Panic” category. Aston Villa didn’t quite get out of the way in the two opening matches, but the fixtures would be in their favor. Between Gameweeks four and seven, they met Everton, Sunderland and Burnley, a custom-made decision made for offensive returns. Watkins remains a reliable FPL scorer who can deliver goods at any time, while Rogers offers a cheaper way and demonstrates his talent last season. Quickly sell with other managers, holding companies and even buying early on – can be rewarded.
