Vardy

Jamie Vardy was called “the great man” by Ruud Van Nistelrooy after scoring her 200th goal for Leicester City during her farewell appearance for the club.

Vardy won a stunning Premier League title in the 2015-16 year prestigious Leicester, who was awarded the Guard of Honor before the final home game of the Foxes vs. Ipswich Town.

Both clubs will return to the championship next season after relegation, but Vardy gave the family crowd reason to celebrate a 2-0 all-time victory at King Power Stadium.

Vardy opened the score in a game, his 500th game in the 28th minute, locked in the pass from James Justin and fired through Dara O'Shea's legs and Ipswich goalkeeper Alex Palmer.

Kasey McAteer doubled Leicester's lead in the 69th minute, and Vardy retreated after 11 minutes to absorb the love of home fans. He won't be attending the finale at Bournemouth next Sunday.

Van Nistelrooy said of Vardy: “If you scored your 200th goal in Game 500, you’re a great goal.”

“He has always been a unique player and person for this football club. In the years to come, we will realize that we are part of this moment.

“He's also a character, he has a story and a fringe. He's also a great captain. We're motivated to do a good job for Jamie, but after Southampton won the victory and the perspective on Nottingham Forest, there's also a little more momentum. That's some motivation at the end of the season.”

Brentford 2-3 Fulham

Although Crystal Palace beat Manchester City in the FA Cup final, it is still possible that eighth place could be the European position.

It depends on Chelsea winning the conference league and winning the game outside the top five, with Fulham beating West London rivals 3-2 to beat Brentford 3-2.

They took the lead when Raul Jimenez's header proved too strong against Mark Flekken, only Bryan Mbuemo responded wisely in the bottom right corner six minutes later.

Mbuemo missed a 2-1 win from free throw percentage as Joachim Andersen beat Kevin Schade in the 28th minute, Bernd Leno turned him down, but Brentford did take the lead two minutes before breaking Yoane Wissa's Tap-In.

However, in the three-minute second half, Tom Cairney's excellent header blocked him two goals before a great long-distance strike from Harry Wilson, leaving Fulham behind Brentford.

Brighton and Hove Albion face Liverpool on Monday, Bournemouth visited Manchester City on Tuesday, with both sides having a chance to surpass Brentford by the last day next Sunday.
