The 2025 season marks Brebbia’s second tough straight record, but his struggles are actually only longer than the past calendar years. Brebbia has been reliable in St. Louis and San Francisco since 2017-23. He carried a 3.53 ERA career with a strikeout rate of 26% and a 7% walk rate (336 2/3 innings) to last year’s All-Star Game. Even at the end of last year and throughout the 2025 season, the 35-year-old Brebbia has a stable ERA of 4.04 in the 378 1/3 major league innings. He collected four saves and 62 while hitting 25.6% of his opponent with a 7.5% walk rate.
Brebia will now be completely exempted or released. He will enter the offseason and may be a minor league signer and attend a non-group invitation to spring training somewhere.
