Ex-NBA star believes Ace Bailey should be the number one pick in the draft

With the lottery draw last week and the NBA draft only a month away, there has been a lot of speculation circling in the league's franchise. However, one of the biggest Givens is 18-year-old Cooper Flagg expected to be the next No. 1 pick.

Still, with many young emerging studs occupying the prospect list, some believe there are other future superstars with greater potential than Duke freshmen. Rutgers University, for example, still has two prospects, and they can still get the spotlight.

There is a former NBA star who firmly believes that forward ace Bailey should be selected for everyone in No. 1.

But everyone in the Mavericks is preparing for the arrival of the Blue Devils superstar. Whenever someone mentions Flag’s name, coach Jason Kidd smiles, as it happened on the podcast show this Monday morning. “We love that child of Duke,” the tactician said.

The Dallas coach couldn't help but start to imagine his appearance for the next season as they approached bringing the draft pick's first pick back to Texas. “I see a young man who is only 18 years old can do a lot,” Kidd shared early this week.

“It's really surprising that he won't reach 19 until December, but I think when you talk about being able to play 2 to 4 games, in today's game, if we were going to label him as a position player, you might be able to sneak him away. Maybe there's still some growth, and only 18 years old, he can still grow,” he added.

However, given Flag's versatility, Jason is still not sure which one is the best way to use him. “But I think you can kick him in both of two guys, he can shoot the ball, be able to put the ball on the floor. Again, as I said, we can have a big team there to start.”
