Everton

Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin is now in the final month of his contract, although it remains to be seen whether he will stay at the club.

The striker has been with the Toffees since 2016, and if his nearly decade of dating with the club ends this summer, David Moyes will have big shoes to fill.

He has been known to have had a tough 2024/25 campaign, and in this form he probably won’t miss too much.

Why Dominic Calvert-Lewin has to leave Everton

The centre-back has reportedly been interested in him by other Premier League clubs, including Newcastle.

Last season was a big fight for the British. Calvert-Lewin scored only three goals and scored two assists in 26 league games last semester.

He completed the season with an 8% goal rate, missing 16 big opportunities, an average goal of only 0.8 strokes per game and creating a big opportunity.

In this form, with his huge salary of £120,000 per week, moving will surely give Moyes a lot of room for maneuver in the transfer window.

If so, the Scots will hope to bring in one or two strikers to replace the 27-year-old.

It seems like Merseyside’s outfit has asked about the availability of players that have attracted a lot of attention…

Everton Watch Calvert-Lewin

Recent reports suggest Everton is signing his Villarreal striker Thierno Barry the way last week. If a deal cannot be concluded there, who is the alternative?

Well, Everton has asked forward Adama Bojang, although West Ham United and Brentford are also keen on young people, according to the Mirror.

The Gambia star borrowed and rented Swiss player Grasshoppers last semester and received a £11 million sale this summer.

Given his potential and room for development, it is undoubtedly a shrewd move by Moyes. But, could Bojang become the ideal replacement for Calvert-Lewin?

The 21-year-old was impressed by the grasshoppers last semester. He found the back of the net six times in 26 league games, while making two assists in the process.

Like Calvert-Lewin, he was hardly prolific, but the young, fresh face might be exactly where Moyes needed to move forward. After all, he has been called “Gambian Hurricane” and is also called “crazy talent” by U23 Scot of Mango Mango. Therefore, Adama’s future looks very bright.

He scored every 212 minutes in the last semester of the Swiss Premier League while ending the season with a target conversion percentage of 15%, which is much better than Calvert-Lewin’s goal-rate.

The forward also created five big opportunities for his teammates, missed eight big opportunities, and succeeded with 0.5 dribbling.

Of course, it’s clear that he has the tools needed to make an impact in the five major European alliances.

For clubs like Everton, which sells for £11m, is in the ocean, by signing Bojang, they will get a player that can see their value increase in a short time.

It may take him a while to get used to life in the Premier League, but from statistics from last semester, he performed better in several indicators than Calvert-Lewin. For Moyes, this is undoubtedly effortless.
