ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins said the Los Angeles Clippers added that Bradley Beal did not “do anything” with the team

After the 2024-25 season, the Suns made major changes to the roster. During the offseason, the team traded Kevin Durant to the Rockets and Bradley Beal switched to the Clippers.

Bradley Beal’s contract was bought by the Suns and they traded him to Los Angeles. The veteran SG signed a two-year, $11 million contract. NBA champion Kendrick Perkins didn’t stop him from thinking about Bradley Beal in his debut show Thursday. Perkins said that the Clippers’ joining Bill is “okay” for the team.

How effective did Bradley Beal for the Clippers in 2025-26?

During the offseason, the Clippers participated in the trades of three teams. They traded SG NARMAD POWELL to get John Collins from Utah Jazz. This leaves room at SG as Powell no longer enters the lineup. Rumors quickly began to spin saying that Suns’ SG Bradley Beal was interested in leading the team. Soon after, the Clippers joined Phoenix in a trade to acquire Bill.

The All-Star team played for two seasons in Phoenix, and the team worked hard to achieve playoff success. Additionally, Bill became the Suns’ third scoring option. His 17.0 points per game last season was the lowest rookie season of his career. Both the Sun and Bradley Bill need to start over. Now, senior SG teams up with James Harden and Kawhi Leonard.

In its first look at ESPN on Thursday, Kendrick Perkins said Bradley Beal’s increase was “none” to the Clippers. He believes that the team is “doing nothing” by adding Beal to the starting lineup. The Clippers have a older roster than other teams trying to compete in the Western Conference.

In addition, Perkins believes that the Clippers do not have wing depth to run deep in the playoffs. Derrick Jones Jr. and Bogdan Bogdanovic cannot be players on the bench. Is Bradley Beal’s joining enough to make the team a legitimate contender in the West? In the first round of the 2025 playoffs, the Clippers lost to the Nuggets in seven games.
