Eric Dier leaves Bayern Munich

Eric Dier will leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season after he decides not to sign a new contract with the Bundesliga leader.
The England international joined the German Giants from Tottenham Hotspur in January 2024, before signing a 12-month deal last summer.
However, he struggled for regular game time this season under Vincent Kopany, with only 13 games in the Bundesliga and only 3 in the Champions League in 25 games.
He decided not to extend his stay at Allianz Arena and would become a free agent.
“We discussed a new contract with Eric,” athletic director Christoph Freund said in a press conference on Friday.
“He told us that he didn’t want to expand and would leave us.
“He's a good guy. We had a great time together. Hopefully he's spending time with us with his first championship.”
Dier looks certain to leave Bayern, the first silver piece of his career, and the Kompany man was able to win the Bundesliga title this weekend by beating RB Leipzig.
His former Spurs star Harry Kane will also end his trophy drought as a game suspension will miss the game.
