French Open 2025: Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff among Iga Swiatek's Challengers

The main threat to Swiatek becoming the first woman to win four consecutive French open titles is Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gofu.

Sabalenka By the end of 2024, Swiatek replaced the world's number one, winning two of the four Grand Slams that year.

The Belarusian was runner-up at the Australian Open in January and performed poorly. She won the Madrid Open in Roland Garros and won 34 of her 40 games this season.

Meanwhile, American Gauff has not lost before the quarterfinals in his last four French public appearances.

Three years ago, 2023 U.S. Open champion Gauff was rejected by Swiatek in the semifinals last year.
