Emma Raducanu

A group of prom girls giggled excitedly on Sunday.

She remains a huge attraction for fans, sponsors and tournament organizers.

Multiple wrist and ankle surgery and a range of other injuries led her to try to build on a victory in the New York Grand Slam, and frequent changes to her coach also caused her setup problems.

One coach, Vladimir Platenik, has been staying with her team earlier this year.

But she is starting this grass season with a more familiar and stable team, bringing back childhood coach Cavaday, who resigned in January for health reasons – working with Andy Murray’s former coach Mark Petchey.

“[In] I’ve found some better forms over the past few months, but I’ve also learned that I don’t necessarily do it with people I don’t trust, or I don’t necessarily like it, and for me, this has improved over the past few months. ”

“I have a good intuition and intuition about the people I get along with and the people I trust.

“And I think sometimes I try to reason with myself because logically I’m like, ‘Okay, maybe this guy can bring me this, I need it’, I try to force myself, but I just realized, it won’t work.

“When energy or bad environments are not in good condition, it just hovers.”

Raducanu reached the quarter-finals and fourth rounds of the Miami Open at the Italian Open since connecting with Petchey in March, but lost to Iga Swiatek in the second round of the French Open this month.

Cavaday’s rise returns to the 60 years after missing most of the 2023 surgery in 2023, as a partnership between Raducanu and Nigel Sears, Andrew Richardson, Torben Beltz, Dmitry Tursunov and Sebastian Sachs.

“I’m glad to see him healthy first, it’s been a long time,” Raducanu said in a press conference about Cavaday.

“Mark commented in Paris [on the French Open]Nick is by his side, happy to be with him for a few days. They both will help me in the whole grass [season]. I trust them very much. ”
