Duca del Cosma’s stylish shoes offer comfort out of the box

I admit – when it comes to golf shoes, my bar is high. Not only do they need to look great (priority!), but they also need to be as comfortable and doubled as every day’s outfit. Maybe that makes me a super golf nerd, but I wear golf shoes everywhere: dog walks, school runs, weekend errands – all of them! I’ve never been a girl who changed people. I arrived in golf shoes and left with them because my golf shoes and life shoes are the same.

The fact that I love modern golf shoes is that the spike boulders make this possible. (Don’t worry – I promise I won’t click on the soft thorns around town.) Sneakers can’t double as golf shoes, but my favorite golf shoes can certainly double as sneakers, and I really lean on that side. Multifunctional clothing is currently all the rage in the golf world, and shoes are no exception.

Last year, I tried my first pair of Duca del Cosmas – an Italian golf shoe brand founded in 2004. The shoes are very stylish in my look, with a glitz-colored accent – ​​real statement shoes, I was impressed by comfort and durability. So with a few weeks of summer trip I decided to try another pair of DUCAs, but this time, I wanted to stick with something more neutral.

To minimize the package of transatlantic family itineraries, I decided to pack only a pair of real shoes – a very tall dish! I wanted something that would go with jeans and shorts that looked enough to accommodate an open-air dining, but comfortable enough to handle miles of walking. I landed on the Licata – a white waterproof shoe with beige decorations that definitely brings every piece of clothing I brought.

What I like most about Licata is the comfort of using it out of the box. Thanks to my previous DUCA experience, I am willing to risk the first time on the departure day of the armor piercing lic, which can lead to a calamity filled with blisters, as well as the pain of my week of recovery from flop drag. Instead, I was happy to find the toe box and comfortable footsteps, but not too comfortable but not too comfortable on my feet. These shoes travel through all kinds of terrain with ease – made for golf as much as possible! – And I didn’t even test them in the course until I returned from the journey. Not surprisingly, they also performed well on the grass.

Another detail scored high: Comparative shoelaces! I can’t be the only one who loves all white shoes until fresh laces are damaged by dirt. I don’t have the patience to do the shoes, do the laundry and reposition them. I noticed that even if the shoes accumulate some easy-to-clean dirt on a given day, they are easily removed from the microfiber upper of the shoe and look clean overall, and because of the overall look of the legs, it is impossible to figure it out, but you can also get it dirty.

One final observation: The comfort level of these shoes remains the same, with or without socks. That makes sense!
