It seems everyone can talk about it at the 2025 Tour Championship, and besides Keegan Bradley should also play in the US Ryder Cup, there is also the captain. Even Bradley is open to his painful plight. Now, a new number is fighting for the dilemma: President Donald Trump.
Trump entered social media on Saturday, enthusiastically, despite the confusingness, but he expressed his opinion on whether Bradley should be the captain of Team America.
Trump: Bradley should “absolutely” be the “captain” in Ryder Cup team
Trump is an avid golfer at numerous golf clubs around the world and owner of numerous golf clubs. He owned two clubs before he held professional golf. Trump Turnberry hosted several open titles, and Trump Doral played on the PGA Tour for many years.
His Trump Bedminster course in New Jersey was initially fixed in the 2022 PGA Championship, but the U.S. PGA voted to revoke the honor after the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

This week, the PGA Tour announced its return to Trump Doral for the 2026 Miami Championship, a new signature event.
His participation in the competition was not over. Trump made a appearance at the 2017 Presidents Cup during his first term, watching the Americans beat the international side.
But on Saturday morning, the president’s idea was another team: the 2025 Ryder Cup was held at Bethpage Black.
In Bradley’s controversy, Trump may have made himself available as one of his six captain drafts, speaking to the Truth Social.
Trump wrote: “Keegan Bradley should definitely be on the American Ryder Cup team – as captain!!! He is an amazing person. It will be a great Ryder Cup. I will be in the tournament on Friday at the invitation of the PGA Tour!!!
While Trump clearly supports Bradley’s involvement in the team, it’s not clear from his wording whether he thinks Bradley should be a captain. When he wrote that Bradley should be “absolutely” on Team USA, he added: “As the captain!!!”
In addition, Trump also announced that he will be on Friday’s opening day of this year’s Ryder Cup, which will surely make a sensation on Bethpage. The Ryder Cup is run by the Ryder Cup Europe and the US PGA, not the PGA Tour.

Keegan Bradley’s Ryder Cup puzzle
Bradley was selected as captain of the Ryder Cup team over a year ago. But since then, another question has been overwhelming: Will he play on the team, too?
Bradley was at the peak of his career at the age of 39 and was also the best player in the United States. He won the 2025 Traveler Championship this season and ranked 13th in the official world golf rankings.

However, Bradley failed to automatically qualify for the U.S. team. The only way he could play was to put one of his captains’ draft picks on himself.
Captain America detailed how much he struggled with his decision on Friday at the Tour Championship, calling it “the biggest decision of my life.”
“You worry people might say that if you don’t win, that’s a mistake. It’s self-indulgent. I know that very well. No matter what decision I make, I’ll be defined by this decision. “But every captain has to make a really tough decision.” It’s just a very unique decision. I think it’s just because of my age. If Tiger Woods or Phil Mickelson or Jim Furyk were appointed as captain at my age, they would have to do so.
Fortunately for Bradley, his game on the Tour Championship may make his decision easier. Entering Sunday’s final round, Bradley finished fourth, three shots behind the co-leaders.
