French Open 2025: Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz meet in the “Special” men’s final

Following in the footsteps of Rafael Nadal, Alcaraz can win his fifth major by the exact same age: 22, a month and three days, and can follow his childhood hero.
The two-time Wimbledon champions competed in just 82 games and scored 70 victories in the Grand Slams – faster than all but Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe, who won 81 games.
After Lorenzo Musetti was injured in the semi-finals, he improved his record in 22 games, including the championships in Monte Carlo and Rome.
Asked what it takes to win offenders or Djokovic in Friday’s first semifinal, Alkaraz said: “For the most part, it’s just suffering.”
“But what I like most is that it gives me feedback on how I am a better player.
“I think it’s important, it’s beautiful. Even if I win, it gives you a lot of stats and feedback.”
On the Sinner, he added: “He is the best tennis player right now. I mean, he is destroying every opponent.”
