Denver’s Box Knicks meet with Drew Brees in the offseason to “improve” his game

The Denver Broncos ended with a 10-7 record in 2025. It was their best record since 2015, ending an eight-year playoff drought.
Last season, the team was led by rookie QB Bo Nix. He started all 17 games for Denver in 2024. The Knicks are the first Broncos rookie QB in the first week since John Elway in 1983. After the offensive rookie of the year voted for third place, the Knicks were determined to get better. Head coach Sean Payton said the Knicks asked to meet with his former MVP in New Orleans (Drew Brees). They spent a week in San Diego during the offseason.

From 2006-2021, Sean Payton is the head coach of the New Orleans Saints. He has 14 QBs in these 15 seasons with a starting QB being 13 times professional Bowler Drew Brees. Brees has a legendary career in New Orleans with Payton as the dramatist. Brees led the NFL seven times, seven passes, four touchdowns and six completion percentages.
Additionally, he is one of two QBs with Tom Brady, showing up with over 80,000 professional pass yards. Drew Brees is the game’s legend, which is why Broncos Bo Nix asked to meet him in the offseason. Sean Payton runs the offensive system he ran in Denver with his running in New Orleans. This allowed Drew Brees to use his years of experience to teach him everything in a very short time.

They reportedly spent four to five days in San Diego. During his rookie season, Bo Nix succeeded in Sean Payton’s offense. Last season, he threw 3,775 yards, 29 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Nix has played six games and has averaged 282.6 yards per game.
If the Knicks could have this type of production throughout the season, Denver would be a serious contender for the West. Bo Nix is determined to “improve” his game during the offseason. Meeting Drew Brees is one way to achieve this. The 25-year-old learned valuable information from Brees about Sean Payton’s offensive system.
