Denver has signed Nik Bonitto to reach a four-year, $120 million contract extension

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Thursday that the Broncos are signing Nik Bonitto as a four-year, $106 million deal. His contract is worth up to $120 million, while Bonitto was $70 million when he signed it. He is one of three players to have Denver signed a long-term contract during the offseason. These include Zach Allen and Courtland Sutton.

The Broncos won a second round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, choosing Olb Nik Bonitto from Oklahoma. The 25-year-old adds to the production every year with Denver. As a rookie, he finished the game with a 1.5 sack. In his second season, Bonitto had 8.0 sacks and played four games for the Broncos. Nik Bonitto’s role improves ahead of the 2024 season. He played in all 17 games and played 15 games for Denver.
Bonitto recorded a career-high 13.5 sacks last season. It was the third largest in the NFL last season, behind Trey Hendrickson and Myles Garrett. The 25-year-old pass sprinter is now the highest-paid non-QB in the Broncos series history. In 2024, Bonitto was named a professional bowler for the first time in his career.
