Taylor Wells His final recovery began tonight, returning from the May 2024 elbow surgery. Wells threw two rounds of 6 1/3 frames on a three-cop Norfolk.

Baltimore will recover from the wells on the 60-day injury list next week. The active roster will expand on September 1, so O’s can stick with the eight-player bullpen while the six-player spins. It will buy an extra day off for every purchase Trevor Rogers,,,,, Kyle Bradish,,,,, Tomoyuki Sugano,,,,, Cade Povich and Dean Kremer. Bradish just returned from his elbow surgery last night.

Wells, 31, flashed his spin ability before his injury. He performed his best season in 2023. In 118 2/3 innings, the right turned to an average running with a career low of 3.64. Wells sniffed a quarter of his opponents with a walking rate of 7.2%. However, he surrendered nearly two home runs per nine frames and was a beneficiary of the frustrated .200 hit average.

That’s enough to open Wells for 24 seasons in the rotation. He only started through three games before an elbow injury requiring UCL surgery. This cost him the majority of his two seasons. Wells will probably start the season four times. He should position him as a normal offseason when he is ready to fight for the rotation next spring. Wells earned 2.075mm this season; he will receive a similar amount by passing arbitration for the second time next year. He can control it in 2027.
