The Raptors “willing” to exchange multiple key role participants for “large roster upgrades”

On the 2023-24 trade deadline, the Raptors threatened OG Anunoby in two ways to separate ways. In return, the team acquired RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickey and a 2024 second-round draft pick. The 2024-25 season is Barrett and Quickley’s first year with The Raptors. According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, Toronto is “willing to” separate from Barrett or Quikcley during the offseason. They are seeking a “major roster upgrade.”
Fischer noted that the Raptors could show their willingness to add Jakob Poeltl to the trade pack. Only in getting Kevin Durant. NBA insiders also pointed out that Toronto could try to trade the 9th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. Of all teams, the Raptors are most likely to trade, Fischer said. There is evidence that the Raptors want to start the game next season. To do this, they need talent to win.
If Durant is not available, the Raptors may still be involved in the industry as a third or fourth team. This usually happens in today’s NBA with a salary cap limit. As a team of hosts, the Raptors can still meet the need to get a “large roster upgrade”. The news pointed out that the Raptors’ roster changes before the 2025-26 season.
