Cyprus’ Aphrodite Hills Resort, with the launch of the country’s first-ever track and field series, is a state-of-the-art golf practice facility that takes its practice facility to the next level, bringing entertainment, innovation and performance together.
The landmark increase marks the latest phase of the resort’s multi-million-euro investment plan and strengthens its position as a senior sporting destination in Europe.
The new track and field athlete series at Aphrodite Hills Resort will officially open in August, which will change the way all abilities practice, learn and enjoy competition.
Trackman Range is a flexible golf tracking solution with tour technology, as well as the industry’s best virtual golf, practice and entertainment software. The groundbreaking radar and camera technology details each lens – from launch angle and rotation speed to ball speed and distance – conveys instant feedback through interactive screens and mobile devices.
The new facility is equally suitable for serious golfers who want to hone their skills, players looking to warm up while welcoming the prestigious Cabell B. Robinson 18-hole championship course, as well as families and groups seeking fun-based experiences.
For the latter, guests can take advantage of virtual golf on some of the world’s most iconic courses, or enjoy interactive games, matches and challenges designed to make the practice more engaging.
The Trackman series is the first part of the upgrade to Aphrodite Hills Resort Golf Academy, which will soon include an impressive new two-story academy building with reception and retail areas, two upstairs Swing Studios and 28 covered practice Bays all equipped with track and field technology, as well as other enhanced models designed to provide the best experience for all levels of golf service.
“We are honored to be the first resort in Cyprus to launch the Trackman Range, which is widely regarded as the gold standard for ball tracking technology,” said Miguel Girbes, director of golf and sports at Aphrodite Hills Resort. “This is the first step in the complete upgrade of our practice facility and an investment representing an important step in Cyprus golf, creating an experience that is equally exciting for beginners and is invaluable for elite players.”
The launch of the track team has added a range of sports and recreational facilities at the Aphrodite Hills Resort, including the PGA National Cyprus Golf Course, tennis and Padre Academy, luxury spa, cycling trails and equestrian centre. Located on a scenic plateau overlooking the legendary birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite, the five-star resort combines excellence with a stunning Mediterranean environment.
The track and field range is further evidence of a commitment to consolidate the Aphrodite Mountain resort among European high-level sports destinations and additional investments have been made in the areas of renovations including new entry cottages, tennis and Padre sports, as well as spas, hotels, villas and restaurants.
