With the 29th pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, the Vikings selected Cordarrelle Patterson from Tennessee. Offensively, Patterson began his WR career in Minnesota. However, his real talent is seen as a kicker. As a 2013 rookie, Patterson returned 43 kickoffs and two league-leading touchdowns with 1,393 yards. In his first professional season, he was appointed as the first team All-Pro. Patterson played for six franchises in the NFL in 12 seasons.
His most productive season on offense was in 2021. That was his first season with the Falcons. Patterson passed the ball for 153 times, scoring 618 yards and six rushing touchdowns. Additionally, the former first-round pick made 52 catches in 548 yards and five receiving touchdowns. That was the only time in Patterson’s career, with over 1,000 yards from the melee in terms of offenses. He hasn’t been able to achieve anything close to offensive work since 2021.

In 2024, Patterson is a member of the Steelers. He participated in 13 of 17 games and started once. Patterson passed the ball 32 times last season for 135 yards. He had 12 catches, totaling 80 yards, and one catch scored. Most importantly, he played 11 times, totaling 240 yards. That was the most important thing in his second highest career yardage in a season.
Patterson missed four games in Pittsburgh last year due to an ankle injury. Cordarrelle Patterson did not participate in any offseason events or practices in the first four days of training camp. Did Patterson try to get kicked off the team? We have to wait and see what his strategy is. Patterson has plenty of time to sign with another team in the 2025 season.
