Connor McDavid scores 1,100th career point against Blues – Hockey Writer – Edmonton Oilers

Edmonton Oilers star Connor McDavid has reached another great milestone. Tonight, against the St. Louis Blues, McDavid scored his 1,100th career point.

Now, in his 726th career game, he becomes the fourth-fastest player in the NHL to reach the 1,100-point mark. McDavid trails only Wayne Gretzky (464 GP), Mario Lemieux (550 GP) and Mike Bossy (725 GP) who have reached 1,100 GP in just a few races. He is also the 69th player in league history to reach the total points in his career.

McDavid’s milestone night

His 1,100th point came on a beautiful pass from McDavid to Jack Roslovic, who buried the ball. It’s a point that’s typical of McDavid and helped him reach the milestone. He then assisted on Andrew Mangipane’s goal late in the game for a career-high 1,101 points.

Although he has been criticized for his lack of goals this season. At times, he proved he could still dominate the game. He’s had his share of fingerprint-covered nights, and tonight was a monumental night for the Oilers captain, and his two assets were no different.

McDavid currently has 3 goals and 16 assists for 19 points this season. During his career, he scored 364 goals and 736 assists for 1,101 points in 726 games.
