World No. 2 Coco Gauff defeated Lucia Bronzetti 6-2 6-4 to book her place in the quarterfinals of the Cincinnati Open.
The two players advanced to the last 16 in a contrast manner, while Gauff won only consecutive games in the last round against Dayana Yastreska.
On the other hand, Bronzetti scored three innings in her first three rounds, while World 61 quickly found herself defeating herself 3-0.
Gauff was broken in Game 5, but it proved that it was short-lived as she continued to win the opening in 33 minutes.
